Perla Montes de Oca

I'm Perla Montes de Oca, I am 27 years old. I am a transfer student at San Jose State and I am majoring in Communication Studies. My journey in school has been a long one but I am proud of how far I've come and or how far I KNOW I will go. My dream is to inspire others as my professors inspired me, to make a difference in our community and be the change we wish to see in our world.

Nithika Arunkumar

My name is Nithika Arunkumar, a student at De Anza College majoring in East Asian Studies. I've been studying the Korean, Mandarin, and Japanese languages and culture in order to create connections between communities and individuals that would otherwise be impossible. I hope to use these skills in the international political stage in the future. I'm sure that mutual understanding and tolerance is the key to peace, and hope to work from the local government at present to eventually effecting change at a global scale.

My name is Nicholas Alvarez. I am currently a second year Business Economics major at UC Irvine. Some of my hobbies include dancing, socializing, and swimming. One of my aspirations in life that I hope to accomplish in the future is to create an organization that provides mentorships and scholarships to minorities to achieve their higher education goals.

My name is Jabriel White. I am from Moreno Valley CA and am a senior at San Jose State University. I am majoring in Political Science with a minor in mathematics.  My name is Eddy Alvarez, I am 16 years old. I currently attend Piedmont Hills High School and I am looking for new opportunities to learn, so that later I can pursue a career in business.

Daijon Bereola-Carlson

My name is Daijon Bereola-Carson and I am a sophomore computer science major studying at Howard University in Washington, DC. I plan to obtain my B.S. in computer science and become a software engineer or entrepreneur. During my freetime I like to listen to several genres of music and also create music because it provides an outlet for personal and external issues. I have participated in several community service events in the Silicon Valley and want to continue my role as a leader and contributor to my community and my school.

Brianna J. Irons

I'm Brianna J. Irons, I' m 22 years old. I recently graduated community college with an AA degree in business. This fall ill be an upcoming 3rd year at San Jose State University hoping to graduate next fall with a bachelors degree in Business and a concentration in Management Information Systems.

Basil Seleh

 I was born and raised in San Jose, a distinction I wear proudly! My love of local bands and music spurred a fascination in exploring local history and the multinational ties of a globalized region. I am running for Campbell Union High School District to put my leadership, sense of justice, and creative problem solving to use making sure minority students receive the special consideration they deserve.  I hope to make a big impact in the valley by building a bench of youth leaders, and by bringing socialist ideas to my posts. When I'm over the hill I want to be a war reporter.

Angel Coronado

Angel Coronado is a communications major at San Jose City college transferring to the University of Santa Barbara next fall. His mission is to break down interpersonal and intercultural walls within society so that we all can build community together. Angel grew up up in a Hispanic household being the youngest. The way his mother always helped others was inspired him to do the same. Angel enjoys, working out, public speaking, and any new venture that comes his way.

Alexander Lopez

My name I'd Alexander Lopez Rodriguez. I'm transferring to san jose state university. My major is sociology concentration in community change. My goal is to be a school counselor and be involved with youth and the community. I enjoy going on walks with my two dogs, hiking with my son, and collecting shoes. 

Alex Aleman

I'm proud to have been born and raised in California, one of the most culturally diverse states in the nation. My love for being physically active and leading a healthy lifestyle led me to pursue a degree in Health Science Administration. I am currently working as a research assistant for California Sate University East Bay researching the effects that climate change has on human health. Through my various learning experiences, one can be sure that I am not just seeking to learn concepts, but to actually implement those strategies as I think strategically to problem solve. Seeking to optimize the health and the well being of the people in California is certainly a difficult challenge, but it will be achieved through a dedicated individual who does not stand down.

Hi my name is Abeal Bealu and I am a college student at Evergreen College where I am majoring in administration of justice I’m currently in the internship of Aminah Jahi which I enjoy I would say my greatest strength is working hard at whatever job I do in my weakness would be procrastination.
